Sea Odyssey to Kildin Island
The Kildin Island expedition is a journey to the edge of the Earth — a full maritime adventure from the Kola Bay into the open Barents Sea, heading to one of the most remote and mysterious islands of the Russian Arctic. The route begins at the Murmansk port. The boat travels along the Kola Bay, past the Marine Station, fishing and commercial ports. One of the most impressive sights along the way is the Rosatom nuclear fleet base with its nuclear icebreakers. Then comes the exit into the open Barents Sea. On the way to the island, you may encounter seals, sea lions, and whales. The island itself welcomes travelers with rocky shores, Arctic tundra, and a feeling of complete isolation from civilization. This is a place where time moves differently. The boat features a heated cabin, restroom, and hot tea. Stops are made at scenic spots for photography. The journey lasts approximately seven hours. Kildin Island is not a tourist route — it is a true adventure for those wanting to see the Arctic wild and untouched. The expedition suits experienced travelers, photographers, and anyone seeking genuine Arctic adventures. A small boat for up to seven passengers and a large one for up to eleven are available.
